The Nepal Premier League (NPL) is being played at the Tribhuvan University cricket ground in Kirtipur. On October 29, Setopati reported a forecast putting the chance of rain at 51 percent at 5 pm, when Karnali Yaks were due to meet Biratnagar Kings, and Nepal Views reported later that day that the ground had been covered with tarpaulins after light rain. Some overseas players missed games that day, Onlinekhabar reported: Jimmy Neesham sat out Janakpur Bolts' match against Kathmandu Gorkhas for personal reasons, and Kathmandu Gorkhas played their first match without David Warner, who had not yet arrived in Nepal, and Will Bosisto.
In football, the Nepal Super League (NSL) said in a statement on October 27 that it has not authorised anyone to form or run another league. The statement, issued by Managing Director Shreyans Karki, said the NSL alone holds the right to organise the country's only recognised nationwide, city-based football league.
