Sipradi launches nationwide training for Tata commercial vehicle technicians
Sipradi Autoparts and the Sipradian Sahayata Sanstha have initiated a six-day technical training program for mechanics across 14 locations in Nepal.
Sipradi Autoparts, the authorized distributor of Tata Genuine Parts in Nepal, has launched a nationwide training initiative aimed at upgrading the skills of technicians working on Tata commercial vehicles. In collaboration with the Sipradian Sahayata Sanstha, the program focuses on modern vehicle technologies, specifically the Bharat Stage-6 (BS-6) emission standards.
According to reports from Artha Dabali, Nagarik News, Kalakarmi, and Lokpath, the six-day training program began on Sunday, November 1, 2026, and is scheduled to conclude on Friday, November 6, 2026. The sessions are being conducted across 14 locations throughout the country, including Hetauda, Birtamod, Biratnagar, Damak, Dhangadhi, Parsa/Tandi, Itahari, Narayanghat, Mirchaiya, Pokhara, Bhairahawa, Dhalkebar, Dang/Ghorahi, and Birgunj.
The curriculum is designed for technicians and electricians who service Tata commercial fleets. The training covers fundamental electrical systems, including battery maintenance, voltage and current management, and the use of multimeters for circuit diagnostics. Furthermore, the program provides technical instruction on BS-6 engine management systems, detailing the operation of sensors, Electronic Control Units (ECU), and actuators.
Beyond basic mechanics, the training addresses advanced emission control systems. Technicians are being instructed on the identification and maintenance of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Lean NOx Trap (LNT) systems. The course also covers regeneration processes and the application of diagnostic tools to identify and resolve technical faults more efficiently.
Sipradi Autoparts and the Sipradian Sahayata Sanstha stated that the initiative aims to familiarize local technical personnel with modern automotive standards, thereby improving the quality of servicing available for Tata vehicles across Nepal. By enhancing the diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities of these technicians, the organizers expect to foster higher professional standards within the commercial vehicle repair sector.
