Digital payment provider Esewa has introduced the 'Every Boundary Counts' campaign, an initiative linking the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2026 cricket tournament to red panda conservation. As the official ticketing partner for the NPL, Esewa has partnered with the Red Panda Network and the Red Panda Network Nepal to fund habitat restoration and local employment. Under this agreement, the company will donate Rs 2,000 for every six and Rs 1,000 for every four scored during matches, with total contributions capped at Rs 1 million.
The project targets community forests in Ilam and Panchthar, with reforestation efforts planned for mid-2027. The initiative aims to restore 10 hectares of degraded land and plant 10,000 native saplings. Additionally, the program intends to generate 600 labor-days of paid employment for local residents, prioritizing women. Esewa’s Chief Strategy Officer, Ravi Shakya, noted that the campaign aims to leverage cricket fan enthusiasm to support biodiversity and sustainable livelihoods.
