Nepal Tourism Board seeks content creators for national campaign
The Nepal Tourism Board is calling for applications from digital creators to help promote the country's tourism sector through a new national campaign.
The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has launched a recruitment drive for travel content creators, videographers, and photographers to help promote the country’s tourism sector on a global scale. The initiative aims to leverage digital media to showcase Nepal's diverse landscapes, cultural heritage, and lesser-known destinations to international audiences, according to reports from Nagarik News and Ratopati.
According to the board, the campaign is designed to highlight a wide range of experiences, from the grandeur of the Himalayas to local traditions and unique lifestyles. By collaborating with digital storytellers, the NTB intends to move beyond traditional promotional methods, utilizing the personal narratives and creative styles of content creators to engage potential visitors. The board expects this approach to be particularly effective in reaching younger demographics and international markets through social media platforms.
A push for digital growth
Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Khadga Raj Paudel ‘Ganesh’ has championed the initiative, emphasizing the role of digital platforms in modernizing tourism promotion. As reported by Nagarik News, the minister views this project as a step toward establishing content creation as a viable industry in Nepal, potentially fostering entrepreneurship and job creation for the country's youth. The minister has highlighted that the campaign is intended to integrate digital content production into the broader tourism strategy, supported by the board's budgetary allocations for the 2083/84 fiscal year.
The board plans to involve more than 200 creators in the project, who will be tasked with visiting various destinations to produce high-quality visual and digital content. This material is expected to serve as a digital resource for the board, helping to raise the profile of overlooked tourist sites alongside more established locations.
Application details
Interested professionals, including travel content creators, videographers, and photographers, are invited to submit their applications by November 5, 2026. Applicants are required to provide their personal contact information, address, and links to their portfolios or social media profiles to be considered for the campaign. The board has indicated that this selection process is intended to identify talent capable of capturing the essence of Nepal’s tourism identity through creative and authentic storytelling.
